Whitewater Valley REMC is seeking a full-time System Engineer.

This position is responsible to perform all tasks to provide high-quality engineering services in a manner that advances the Cooperative and promotes strategic decisions of the board of directors. Success requires a desire to work with a broad range of technologies in a small team to monitor and identify opportunities to improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of systems and applications that support our electric utility operations goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

Engineering services for the electric distribution system, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), collaboration and support.

Whitewater Valley REMC is a distribution cooperative serving six counties in eastern Indiana. With over 1,800 miles of line and 27 employees serving over 12,000 meters, our headquarters is in Liberty, Indiana. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Power Systems is required. Distribution engineering experience that demonstrates a strong technical ability with an electric utility is desirable. Proficient computer technology skills & reasoning ability. Distribution engineering experience that demonstrates a strong technical ability with an electric utility is desirable Valid Indiana Driver’s License required.
